Easter - Part 1

Yes, I know how late this! Yes, I know I am super behind in blogging! Yes, I know most of you think I am probably a slacker these days! BUT I promise, I am not! I have been totally busy. Like up to my ears in work. It seems like since we had our Easter Break at school everything has been CRAZY busy and I mean CRAZY busy!! Non-stop, GO, GO, GO! There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I know it. Just the thought of that light makes my whole body tingle, seriously!!

I wanted to share a few pre-Easter, Easter, and Mom's birthday celebration pictures. We celebrated my mom's birthday the weekend of Easter. It was the perfect day to celebrate. My brother, his wife, and youngest daughter were able to come. My grandparents came down as well and we just all had a fun family time. The littles hunted Easter eggs, they could do this for HOURS! We went to dinner, had lots of yummy cake... way more than we needed, and just talked about preparations for my favorite place on Earth, DISNEY!

The littles hunting eggs! Watching them do this was just too much fun and seeing how they could enjoy the same thing, over and over and over again. It just took me right back to be a little girl hunting Easter eggs multiple times during one day. I am sure my parents got just as tired of hiding them as we did, but these are the things they will ALWAYS remember!

Colin was an egg hunting machine. He loved every. single. minute of it!
Cade really enjoyed it as well, but he obviously takes after his mother and is NOT the outdoorsy type at all. He is scared of every. single. bug in sight - even harmless love bugs! He didn't want to pick up the eggs directly off the ground for fear there MIGHT be a bug near. Oh yes, most definitely MY child. Haha!

I tried to get a picture of all three of the littles together and looking at the camera. That didn't happen! No one would look at the camera at the same time and then we had the bright idea to tell them to look up, meaning look up at us with the camera! MISTAKE - seriously, to them that meant look in the sky and see if there are birds and airplanes!
Granny helping Cade and Della hunt eggs!  I think she had as much fun as the kids!
Della and her Easter Eggs!  She would ask before picking each egg up.  It was just too funny!

Colin going through his eggs getting the candy out.  He loved the Starburst!

Five Minute Friday ~ Gift

It's Five Minute Friday! Here are the rules...

1. Write for 5 minutes flat on the prompt- no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking
2. Link back to the gypsymama and invite others to join in.
3. Meet & encourage someone who linked up before you.

GO:

I was beyond excited. I was finally going to be given the greatest gift I could hope for... I was going to be a mother. I did everything right, everything perfect, I wanted the best for the most precious gift I had been blessed with. But even then, my gift arrived far too early. It was devastating, heartbreaking, touch and go... This beautiful, wonderful gift was fighting hard for his life. This beautiful, wonderful gift was amazing even at 1 pound 8 ounces he was the most wonderful gift I had ever received. I cried so many tears, I experienced so many amazing moments, but mostly I prayed every single day, multiple times a day. God heard me, he listened, and he gave me a gift, a miracle!

Again, I was beyond excited. I was give the greatest gift a second time. I was going to be a mother again. This time I did everything right again, I did everything perfect. I was on bedrest for 20 weeks. But it was all worth it for the wonderful gift I received at the end.

Everynight I lay down with these two beautiful boys. We "uggle" and talk about the day. They giggle and laugh. And I just feel so thankful and blessed to have them in my life. They are the greatest gifts I have ever been given...

We play hard!

Picture OVERLOAD from today!
The boys and I had so much fun playing outside. Alright, who am I kidding most of the day I sat in the rocking chair and watched or took pictures but the other part I was playing some, at least when they would let me!

Heading out to play (excuse the boxes, I am packing already)
Riding the scooter
Playing ball
That sweet, baby face...
This boy NEVER stops!
Playing volleyball with Sissy...
she keeps trying to teach him all the skills he needs but he just wants to PLAY!
Just in case you were wondering, Marissa is wearing a swimsuit because what does any teenage girl want to do on Spring Break? Go to the beach, of course! Well, this meanie wouldn't go today because she had a dental appointment and didn't get home until 12pm. So Marissa washed her car and laid in the driveway instead!

Finally, all three of them together.
Of course Gigi had to get in on the action too.

My Budget is BLOWN!

Seriously, how does this happen to me! My boys NEED these sets from Janie & Jack.

Cade:
Colin:

They are PERFECT for my boys. The colors are just amazing... I am debating should I order now with a coupon and free shipping or wait for markdowns! Oh the dilemma!

Sweet, Sweet Spring Break

It's a tease of what is to come in two months... the worry free, relaxing days of Summer. I can't wait for those days, but right now I am going to enjoy my Spring Break. I started it out the right way on Friday with a little retail therapy. My favorite therapy of all!

I did pick up a few things for me, but of course my weakness, clothes for the boys, is what I really bought! The boys were so sweet and did a fashion show for me! You know they hate it when I have them do these, but they must really love their mama because they did anyway. Okay, maybe I did bribe them just a tiny bit with Angry Birds gummies!

Just cheap sets I picked up but oh so cute and coordinated!
And one little set, that I picked up for my big boy!
This picture makes me smile every time I look at it!

It's one, two, three strikes you're out...

The season has started and my boy is LOVING it! We are on the same team as last year, except the big difference is... THIS IS NOT TEE BALL ANY MORE! It's the real deal, the big deal... BASEBALL! It is so different than tee ball. The kids strike out, they get tagged out, and they keep SCORE! Oh, the horror! We have played four games, one of those was a scrimmage. We won the scrimmage game and have lost all the others! BUT the boys are still having fun and that is all that matters.

Before leaving the house for the game...
Of course I couldn't leave the cutest little boy I know out of the picture!
My sweet boy up at bat! He hit a single! YAY Cadie Babe!

Diamond D Ranch

Today, my precious Cade had his first field trip as a kindergartner! Larry went with him and they both had so much fun.

Larry took these pictures with his phone, so they aren't the best quality!

Cade's kindergarten class - Mrs. Griffis made the headbands for the girls and the bandanas for the boys.
Cadie
Feeding the goats
He really wanted to feed the baby goats and not the mommy and daddy goats!
The Barrel - this was a ride were they went upside down! EEK! He loved it, of course!
Riding again...
Feeding the cows!
Riding the pony & hanging out with friends
It was such a fun day for Cade and Daddy! I am so glad they were able to go together.
