Short day at work...

Sick babies are seriously NO FUN AT ALL! I wasn't too excited about going to work today after a whole week off and apparently Colin wasn't too excited about going back to Baby School either! I got a call from Baby School at 9:07 am saying that my sweet Colin had severe diarrhea. I had to scurry around to get everything together for a sub and rush to Baby School to pick him up.
He was not the cute, happy peep he is above when I picked him up. He was crying and annoyed! I brought him home and he immediately went to sleep on the couch for about an hour. Then he woke up and refused to eat or drink. Finally he decided to eat one piece of bread. Yes, just plain ole' bread! At least he ate something and he finally drank a bottle - yes a BOTTLE! He then fussed a bit and went back to sleep which he has done for the past hour and half. Now he is waking up and it NOT a happy baby at all. I am not sure what I am going to do the rest of the evening with him, but hopefully he will cheer up when daddy gets home!

School Thanksgiving Feast

Well, Thursday was Cade's school Thanksgiving feast. I was able to find someone to cover my class and attend. It was too cute and I enjoyed getting to spend time with my sweet boy. To prepare for the feast each student was sent home with a turkey cut out. They were supposed to dress up their turkey into someone they wanted to invite to Thanksgiving dinner.

I bet you would NEVER, EVER be able to guess who Cade wanted to invite...
Yup! You guessed right if you guessed the one, the only... MARIO!
We spent about 30 minutes dressing up his turkey as Mario. It turned out really cute though and he loved taking it to school and showing all his friends.

Now the day of the feast, which like I said was on Thursday, they were able to dress up like a Pilgrim and an Indian. Here is a quick picture I snapped of Cade at his feast.
He choose to only wear the Pilgrim hat for pictures.
They also made turkey handprint Thanksgiving placemats. These are always a favorite of mine because they are so adorable!
And last but not least, a picture of the cutest Pilgrim and his Mommy!

Happy 5th Birthday, Cade!

This is only a week and day late! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CADE! I can't even believe my baby turned 5 on November 14. He has grown so fast over the past five years. We celebrated Cade's birthday on Saturday, November 13th by having his all time favorite party...

MARIO!
My neighbor and friend, Amber painted this awesome Mario! I tried to take all the kids pictures by him so I could send it out in all the Thank You Notes! However, I failed miserably and only got a few pictures of the kids in front of him.
Here is the party table - I did make the birthday banner all by myself! I also made the Mario hats the boys are wearing. They were super easy to make! I bought the hats at Micheal's and then used the Cricut to cut out felt circles and M's which I hot glued to the hat.
Larry made the mushroom cake for Cade! It turned out super adorable and oh so yummy!

And last but not least the sea of presents... It looked more like Christmas than a birthday!
The most favorite present EVER... we have heard about it for months and months and finally he got it!
WII PARTY

Thank you to all that attended Cade's party. He had a fabulous time! Tim, Amy, and Carson thank you so much for letting us use your bouncy house for the party. The kids loved playing in it.

Growing up so fast...

They really don't stay little long at all. This time last year Colin was a tiny four month old baby. He was just starting to sleep longer stretches at night, like maybe six hours. Now this year Colin is an almost 16 month old baby. He can run around the house and "talk". He has a wonderful little personality and is just so sweet. He even started giving kisses today!

Today, Colin started King Of Peace Day School (KOP). I put him on the waiting list a week after he was born. They can't start until they 18 months old however they do have a license for them to start at 16 months. Well exactly one month ago they called me and told they had an opening for him to start on November 1st. I was beyond excited but I was still a little scared and worried for him. I was going to be taking him out of his comfort zone at the Child Development Center (CDC) and putting him somewhere new. New school, new teachers, new kids... well Colin doesn't love the new so much. Friday we told all his old teachers good bye and left the infant room at CDC for the last time. We will miss Ms. Ernie and all the other wonderful ladies there.

So our morning started off great! We arrived at KOP right on time, 6:45am!
Everything was going as planned! Look at the huge smile on his face, he looks so happy to start his day! Even I am feeling okay about everything at this point. I am thinking wow this won't be so bad after - maybe it will be a super easy transition. Now I tried taking a picture after I pried him off of me and handed him to Gillian while he was screaming. However that picture turned out SUPER blurry! I called at lunch to check on him and everything was going pretty well. I arrived at 4:45pm to pick him.

This is what I found:
Even if he was a bit weepy throughout the day - especially right when I arrived to pick him up and I peeked through the window to see tears running down his face - overall my sweet boy had a pretty good first day at his new baby school!

Here is two quick pictures from Halloween - I tried very hard to get pictures of the kids at Halloween. I was unsuccessful for many, many reasons! I probably shouldn't list them all but here are a couple of pictures I was able to snap. When I say a couple, I seriously mean only TWO!
Cade, Hayden, and Jocelyn hitting the first house for Trick or Treating.

Lyla The Cat and Colin The Scarecrow - enjoying the wagon ride!
