It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It really is starting to look like it around here!
We pulled the trees out and decorated them! We decorated the mantel as well.

It all started with this tree and these plastic totes!
Then two boys who were more than willing to help!
We finally had a completely decorated tree!
Now, for the mantel - I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
I got the idea for the mantel from Pinterest. If you haven't checked it out, you really need too! I found three different mantels that I really loved and I just created my own version with my own colors. Ok, so I really didn't create it - Larry did! I told him what I liked the colors I wanted. We went to Hobby Lobby picked out everything I wanted and then he pieced it together for me. I am so happy with the way it turned out! I will have to post an updated picture later when my new stockings arrive from Pottery Barn!

First Flight

My uncle and his family flew into my grandparents house on Black Friday. They arrived late in the afternoon about the time that my mom was headed back to our town with my oldest son, Cade. My uncle then decided that he would fly to St. Marys on Saturday to see us. He left Vidalia at 1:15pm and arrived in St. Marys with my grandfather and uncle at 2:00pm. It is a two and half hour drive from my grandparents house to our house but only a 45 minute flight from their house to the St. Marys airport. My uncle did all of this so that my son could experience flying with him.

Now, I will say that BOTH of my boys LOVED the airplane but we only let Cade go up this time. Of course Colin was heartbroken but then he was easily distracted by being able to play in the car with adult supervision of course!

Happy 6th Birthday, Cade!

Six years ago on November 14th, 2005 my whole life changed! I gave birth at 23 weeks to a 1lb 8.1 oz 12.5 inch long baby boy. I can't even begin explain the emotions I was going through that day. My heart was broken, but my heart was overjoyed that my sweet baby was alive. For 119 days I went for a ride on an emotional rollercoaster! I can't say it was fun, but I can say it was completely and totally worth it!

Cade's dinner choice was pizza!
Getting ready to open presents!
Opening his 3DS - he was so excited!!!
Blowing out candles!
So with that said... Happy Birthday My Sweet Boy! I love you to the moon and back - forever and forever!

Quick Month in Review

Some how time has once again gotten away from me! I got busy, busy and just haven't had time. I am so hoping to have time to blog these days! Especially with all the fun Christmas activities I have planned. So here is a quick month in review with pictures!
Scarecrow Day! Of course we have a grumpy scarecrow in the morning but I did get a smile out of him! I made this outfit all by myself with a little help from the glue gun!
Love this pictures of him!
Costume Parade at Baby School! Colin was actually Mario for Halloween but this was much easier for Baby School and they really liked it better than an actual costume!
PUMPKINS! Ok, so they aren't really pumpkins they are squash but we wanted too long to find pumpkins and had to use these. They worked out perfectly!
Yes, I know they are in the PJ's, but I couldn't get a picture before hand!

Halloween!! The boys started the evening off decorating these buckets from McDonalds. There is a story behind this, haha. I have two pumpkins from Lillian Vernon but one says Marissa and the other says Cade. I just haven't gotten around to ordering poor Colin his pumpkin. I have all intentions of doing that WAY before Halloween this year. But really I think I am going to order the metal buckets from Etsy. So if you know a good seller please let me know! I would love to order from them!

Cade worked on trying to make his look like a pumpkin!
Colin worked on trying to make his look like, well I am not sure, he just loved covering the bucket in stickers!
Marissa with her bucket!
Then we moved onto dinner! My really good friend Avie always does a "scary" Halloween dinner. I thought I would try to do something fun at the LAST minute! Next year, I am going to get her to help me plan and I am going to try to have something a little more amazing. Haha!
So the boys had Mummy Dogs and Snot (Mac and Cheese)
And dinner was a success, if I do say so myself!

After dinner my two favorite boys transformed into....

Mario
AND

Luigi
The boys loved trick or treating this year! I couldn't believe it. I thought we would be out for about 30 minutes but they wanted to stay out longer. We had so much fun! When we got home Cade, oops, I mean Luigi, passed out candy to everyone who came to our house!

Pumpkin Patch

There is nothing more fun than going to the pumpkin patch in October! So of course this family went! We went with my good friend, Avie, and her son, Ashton.
When we arrived they had this cute cut out and of course the boys wanted to take a picture!
Ashton
Cade
First thing they wanted to do was ride the cow train! This was the first time that Colin rode without me, so he rode with Cade and actually did better than he does with me. He always tries to stand up when I ride with him! Haha!
Playing on the hay was a MUST! The kids could have stayed here ALL day playing! They loved it!
Of course the big kids had to join in for a picture!
So, when this shows up it will post from November 6 because I was planning on adding more pictures. But really let's not fool ourselves if I don't post it now. I will NEVER post it! So here goes nothing.

Fall Festival Fun

You might not know this, but Larry has been out of town for a month. I have NEVER been alone in my whole entire life for more than one or two nights without another adult. Well, I am 30 years old and it happened. I was and still am alone with three kids until Friday morning at 6am when my mother and I leave with the boys to go to Disney. However this post is not about that this post is about all the fun we had the weekend before Larry left at Citi Banks Fall Festival!
My sister-in-law Deanna invited us to attend, she works for Citi. It was just amazing! Seriously, VERY VERY VERY well done. They had about ten different bounce houses for the kids, midway games, a costume contest, crafts, and a not so haunted, haunted house! My boys LOVED it and I, I mean THEY, can't wait to go back next year!

It's me! I am back!

Life has been BUSY! So I decided I needed to take a blog sabbatical, if that is even possible. But I am back now and hopefully will be able to catch everyone up. We have the whole month of October that we missed out on and well, it needs to be updated because I really want to print this blog as a book this year. So be on the lookout for:
Pumpkin Patch Posts
Scarecrow Day Posts
Halloween Posts
and all those fun things in between!
