Cade's 1st School Dance

Every year our elementary school will host two school dances for all grade levels except Pre-K. This year since Cade is in Kindergarten he could attend the Back to School Dance! I am not so sure that he was really excited about attending the dance because half way through it he was ready to leave and go to daycare. Haha! I was more excited about him attending the dance because I always have to work the dance so I wanted to see him hanging out with his friends.

So before he could dance, he needed to refuel on some nachos!
Then when he got out on the dance floor, he needed to have his picture made with his mommy!
We found Addison who was dancing to the Cha-Cha Slide!
So I tried to take a picture of them together and this what I got...
Does this picture look at all familiar to anyone else? Haha! This is what they do EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I try to take a sweet picture! But it is so okay, because while they were dancing and weren't paying attention to me I was able to get the sweetest picture ever.
They both look so happy and sweet and innocent. It literally brings tears to my eyes when I look at this. I hope my sweet boy will always be this happy and of course I hope Addison will be this happy as well. Addison has a special little place in my heart. She will always be Cade's first true friend.

In a funk!

I seem to be in a funk these days - A blogging funk, a school funk, a house funk, a car funk, a mom funk, and wife funk.
I even worked on taking pictures this week for Fashion Friday but I only took about two pictures so I didn't think it would even worth the time and trouble to post it. So since, I am in a Sunday Funk and it seems like my nap is NOT going to happen why just post those Fashion Friday pictures! It is sure to cheer me up a little bit and then of course make me want to shop - which really isn't a good idea. Haha!

So here it goes! This cardigan from Gap Outlet has got to be one of my favorite pieces. I can mix and match it with so many things. I just so happened to wear it on this day with a red ruffly shirt (I love those shirts) and a pair of black pants. I have paired it with a coral shirt and jeans before as well. It is just a wonderful piece to have in my closet. I paired it with this adorable crystal necklace, it is one of my favorites, and this big chunky ring that I LOVE!
This is another favorite of mine to wear to work or out to dinner with my husband. It is just a basic brown sleeveless top with a cute neckline. I wore it with a pair of light brown capri pants and my wedges. I paired it with some of my favorite jewelry - the necklace and matching bracelet. It was a quick easy outfit! This brown top works for so very many things as well.
I took two pictures of the shirt that I wore below. It is just a basic tank with those adorable flowers on it. It is the perfect burnt orange color for fall. I paired with my Gap Capri's and I actually wore a pair of sparkly flip flops with it although my wedges would have been adorable too! And of course I can't leave home without the necklace!
I know, it is officially Fall and probably most everyone is getting Fall weather. But in South Georgia we are NOT getting that Fall weather. It is still VERY, VERY hot and it probably will be until at least late November. So I am able to wear these things still - although I am trying to make sure I am wearing more items that are Fall colors!

September Weekend Fun

We had a really nice weekend here in South Georgia. The weather has been so beautiful the past few days. I hope it stays this way. Please, Fall keep coming to us!

We did a whole lot of nothing this weekend, but we had fun doing it!
Friday night, Cade and I went with Brianna and Addison to see The Lion King in 3D. Addison actually talked Cade into going because he does NOT like 3D movies, shows, etc. It is the strangest thing, but it scares him to see them. Before the movie we hit Wasubi for dinner. Cade wasn't too impressed but the rest of us liked it!

Cade has been begging to ride in Brianna's car. You would think she drove a Porsche the way he was acting about it, but it is a Ford Edge. I guess it is way cooler than my Mini Van and Dad's Envoy.
Not one single picture could they actually smile and NOT be silly! It was so much for them! So first they made silly faces!
And then they made "CHEESSSSEEEE" faces!
After dinner we made it to the movie! We got our tickets are special glasses and got ready for some fun!
Brianna and I with these crazy cool 3D glasses! Love how the flash on the camera made the lenses!
And of course all of us with the crazy glasses on! Notice that Addison looked up so of course she doesn't have those crazy looking diamond glares on her glasses.
Saturday was Volleyball for Marissa! Her team, The Camden County Wildcats, played a tournament in Brunswick.
Waiting to get on the court and play! Team Huddle! GO CATS!
Marissa serving the ball!
In play...
Still playing...
Ready position...
Now, I actually didn't go to the games. Larry took all these pictures and kept me updated via text messages. It is just too much to try to take Colin out there. He doesn't want to sit still and he gets tired of being there. So the boys and I opted to stay home. I cleaned most of the morning and the boys played. Cade went out to my step-brothers later that evening to play with his cousin.

Sunday has been a relaxing day! We got up early and ran to Costco. It is so nice being the first people in that store! It gets so crazy busy and before you know it you are in there for at least two hours. We were there and back in about two and half hours this time. I decided I needed to run to Belk to pick up some foundation and I picked up WAY more than foundation. So be on the the look for another Fashion Friday! Haha!

Fashion Friday!

I thought I would give it a try! Heck, why not everyone in the blog world is doing it!

My favorite Matilda Jane Ruffles with a beautiful Coral GAP top! And of course the cute little boy in monkey pj's! These ruffles go with just about everything and are a staple for late summer/early fall.
This is not the greatest picture. But this is my FAVORITE dress! It is the Oh, Liza Dress from Matilda Jane. It is just precious! It looks adorable with leggings as well.
GAP Khaki Capris and a Black GAP shirt! This is one my favorite sets! It is so slimming. I wear it with my Steve Madden Gladiator Sandals that are black and brown. I paired it with of my favorite necklaces.
Close up of the necklace! (Excuse the dark roots, I have a hair appointment on Tuesday)
This dress is a fun favorite and it was super CHEAP! It came right from Kohl's. I normally don't find many things at all that I like there, but this happened to just jump out at me. I love, love, love animal prints!
This is also another cute, cheap favorite. All the pieces are from Target! I love the colors and especially the necklace!
And last but not least! FOOTBALL FRIDAY! GO GATORS!! I love this blinged out Gator Shirt. So great to show team spirit. I also love the earrings - if you can see them! I paired the shirt with my 7 Jean Capris - these are also a HUGE staple!
