Colin you are so smart and you seem to get smarter every single day. You learn something new every single day. It is just amazing! You have the most wonderful smile and little laugh. You love playing with your brother, Cade and he loves playing with you. You guys are so funny at dinner time! You don't like to share with him though and you always want what he has. We found out this weekend that you do NOT like the carousel at the zoo. I am not sure why, but you were not impressed at all. However you loved looking at all the animals while we were there. You love playing at the park and sliding down the slide. It is one of your favorite things to do!
You also LOVE the beach! You have only been once before and you really liked it then because you could just run and run and run! It was so fun to watch you then, but watching you now is more fun! You love chasing the seagulls, which by the way, I really hate! You also love just running and playing with Cade in the sand. I am so glad I am able to watch you two grow up together. It is amazing how much fun you both have together. I am so blessed to be your mother and Cade's mother.
You also think you are big boy now. Or at least you try to pretend that you are! I am not sure I am ready for you to grow up so fast, but you are doing it right before my eyes. I love you so much, Colin! Happy 19 Months Sweet Baby Boy!

Fashion Show

The Boys on Valentine's Day:
FYI - It is VERY hard to get decent pictures of my boys at 6:40 am!
One of my good friends, Lene', made this shirt for Cade. They matched his Valentine's that I posted about earlier.
Now the rest of these are just Colin in some Cade's old Spring/Summer clothes! I am happy that I saved these because I am pretty sure they will be the perfect size by Summer!

This is a Boden Set that used to be Cade's!
Please excuse the two totes of clothes in the background. We only tried on a few things today and these were the only ones I was able to get pictures of, haha!
My favorite Janie & Jack Line, EVER!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Avie came over last Friday and we made Chocolate Covered Strawberries. They were super easy and super yummy!

Everything you will need for chocolate covered strawberries.
(Now the really funny part - this what the recipe called for everything in the picture below, BUT we just used the chocolate chips and the strawberries)
Pour a bag of chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl.
Place in microwave for 30 seconds, take out, stir, and place back in microwave for another 30 seconds. Take out the chocolate chips the second time and stir - they should all be melted now.
Next, take a strawberry that has been rinsed and dried. Place it into the melted chocolate covering the bottom of the strawberry with chocolate.
Finally, lay the strawberries on wax paper to dry. You can place them in the freezer for about 15 minutes to make the chocolate harden more quickly.

Wow...it's been over a week

I haven't blogged in a little over a week! That is just crazy! We have had a ton going on around here though. Marissa has volleyball practice, I am at work most days until 4:00 and then I am running around to pick up all three kids. So since I have a free moment I will update you guys real quick!

First, I had this great idea that I was going to take pictures of my outfits for work each day. Really, I was only planning on taking pictures of the ones that I decided to layer. So I started off with Day 1 and then I stopped. I just don't have time in the morning and by the evening I am not looking so hot. It just wasn't meant to be. But here is a picture that was taken of me. I love this outfit and I love this sleeveless blouse. It is going to look so cute in the summer as well.
Now last Friday, I had my friend Avie come over and we made chocolate covered strawberries. It was great and wonderful. We had such an awesome time and then two other girlfriends joined us. After, they were here for about 30 minutes and us making our assembly line for the shovel Valentine's (which were a HUGE hit, by the way), my laptop got knocked onto the tile floor and the screen cracked. I was sick to my stomach so of course I had to have it replaced. UGH! Money down the drain.
Then of course we celebrated Valentine's Day. Each of the children got something small that they would enjoy.
Marissa: A new lunch bag from 31
Cade: A dart board and 3D Mario Gummies
Colin: Nesting Blocks that I decided not to give him at Christmas
Larry: His favorite candy, Whoppers, a note on the bathroom mirror in lipstick, and a Top Ten List made by me! (Ok so I didn't take a picture of his - OOPS!)

Me: Two cards - one from the kids and one from Larry.
My card from the kids was amazing. Marissa decided on each little card they should write me a message so they did.

Cade and Colin both signed this one:
Marissa wrote me this note:
This is probably one of my most favorite cards ever. It was just so thoughtful all the work they put into it. I know Marissa did most of it but the fact that she included the boys really meant a lot and her notes to me were too sweet as well. I love all my children so very much!
And of course last but not least the card from Larry! It was pretty amazing as well.
I am so happy we went so low key this year! Nothing crazy and over the top. It always makes life easier that way, especially when the one who keeps everything afloat comes down with strep the next day!
YES, my friends, I had/have strep. I haven't been this sick in YEARS
. When I say years I am not kidding, the last time I had strep and felt this rotten was when I was pregnant with Cade so that was at least five and half years ago.

Blog Header

I would love to have a new header. I used that one from thecutestblogontheblock and added my pictures, but I didn't really know how to do it so it doesn't look all that great. Can anyone help me out?

Sunday - Craft Day

I totally forgot that today was Super Bowl Sunday! Seriously, what world am I living in, huh? Today, we have again done a whole lot of NOTHING! I love weekends like this. The only thing I don't love about this weekend is having TWO sick kiddos! Colin is still taking meds for his pneumonia and he has an AWFUL cough. Cade started running a fever today as well. Cade hasn't been sick very much at all this season and that really makes my heart happy.

I blogged yesterday saying that I was going to start Cade's Valentine's for his class today. I should say that both boys are giving their classes the same thing. Yesterday I picked up everything else I needed to finish this project so here goes my step by step! Haha!
First, I chose a cute font and printed labels off the computer that said "I DIG YOU Love, Cade"

Then, I took the labels off the label paper and stuck them on to red cardstock.
Next, I used my paper trimmer and cut them into neat rectangles.
After that, I used my corner rounder and made the corners round.
Finally, I punched a whole in the corner so I could tie my ribbon.
Now after making the labels I had to put the hearts in these cute little clear baggies with cute ties. I had to tie the bags of candy hearts to the shovel (now do you get the I dig you - haha!).
And just one photo so you can see what it looks like!
I have a variety of shovel colors - red, pink, and white! These are really easy and fun to make. Plus I think they are going to be so cute to give out.

I also just walked into my living room to find this...

What would keep them sitting in the living room so nicely?
Yes, it was Your Backyard Friends! We love them around our house!

Ebay and Random Stuff

Well, it is that time of year for me! Time for me to get all the boys outgrown clothes out of the bins, iron them, take pictures of them, and then spend too much time listing them on ebay. I have already put all of Cade's outgrown clothes into Ebay and my auctions will launch tomorrow. You should really consider checking them out if you have a chance and you need cute boys clothes! Lots of Janie & Jack, Gymboree, Mini Boden, & one Gap set are going up at 5 pm PST time.

Other than getting all of Cade's auctions ready to launch today we didn't do much of anything. I went to Micheal's to pick up ribbon and clear bags to make the boys Valentine's for their class. I am planning on working those tomorrow! I am so excited I just can't wait. I think they are going to turn out super cute. I will post pictures tomorrow of what I am doing!

From Croup to Pneumonia

I posted earlier this week that I had taken Colin to the doctor and she said he had croup. Pretty sure she was wrong on Monday because Colin and I were back at the doctor on Thursday. He woke up with a temperature of 103.4. Of course I was freaking out! He ran a fever pretty much all day - poor little guy! He looked and felt awful. When we got to the doctor's office the doctor listened to him and told me I needed to take him for a chest xray. Now I am not one of those moms who responds well to stuff like that. I was having HUGE anxiety over the whole thing, especially being by myself. I was so nervous and scared and thinking the worst of course! After having his chest xray they decided it was "walking" pneumonia. They put him on some antibiotics and sent us home. He has to go back on Wednesday or Thursday for his followup appointment.
This is how pitiful he looked on Thursday!
He looks 100 times better today and has been running around playing! He still has a really nasty cough and he sounds "junky" when I listen to him.
Please pray he kicks this nasty pneumonia. I just want my sweet boy to start feeling like himself all the time!

Just something funny that happened on Thursday as well! Larry came home from work and took off his tie. Cade thought it would be a good idea for him to go work too. So he needed to put on his tie and "get to work".

Struggling...

I am really struggling to be a nice person today. Seriously, I am just put out with rude people. As much I try to "kill" them with my Southern Belle kindness sometimes it just does NOT work! Last week, on Tuesday to be exact, I was at speech with Cade. It was pouring down rain and I mean pouring! I parked in a spot closest to the door so we wouldn't get too totally soaked. Apparently, right before his appointment was over someone thought it would be a good idea to park behind. I loaded Cade up in the van and tried to back out of the parking spot many different ways and I just couldn't get out without hitting the car beside or behind me. I walked back into the building and asked if the person driving the gold van could please move their car because I was blocked in. A lady finally stood up and very rudely said that was her van and she would move. I thanked her because I wasn't going to be able to get out and I needed to pick up Colin & Marissa. The whole way out of the building she is rudely telling me how I can't drive and maybe I should go back to driving school because all I really needed to do was backup and swing my car around. I completely ignored her and once again thanked her for moving her car.

The rest of the week this bothered me. Last night I went to bed wondering if this lady would be at speech again. This morning I was worried about it and today as I picked Cade up after school I worried she would be there as well.

I have a friend who's daughter attends speech at the time as Cade. We were talking today about many different things. She also has a daughter the same age as Marissa and they are friends. We both left at the same time and Cade ran down the sidewalk ahead of me while Ann and I were talking. Ann asked me where I was parked and I pointed to my van. Not two seconds later the lady from last week flies out of her van and begins to yell at me about how rude I am for talking about her and pointing at her to other people. She then proceeds to tell Ann how I need to learn to drive and that I could have easily backed out of the parking spot. I can't even believe this is happening at this point in time. I am just speechless and almost in tears. Ann immediately pipes up that I was NOT talking about her but I was talking about my son. I just ignored the lady, but now I am super anxious about going to speech next week with Cade. What if this woman continues to harass me each week for no reason at all?

I think I am still just blown away as to how rude this lady was to me for no apparent reason and the fact she continues this on a week later. I am so non-confrontational about everything so this is so hard for me to swallow, especially when I am going to see her week after week.

Also, a quick little update on Colin. He did not run a fever yesterday after 5am so he went to Baby School today. I probably should have just taken the day off and stayed home with him though. Baby School said he did fine, but was just fussy most of the day. I know he still doesn't feel 100% but I thought for sure he would be okay. When he came home he was so fussy this afternoon. He just went down for the night about 30 minutes and I am guessing he will be up in about 30 minutes to get in my bed!

And just because I don't like to post without a picture...
I took this the other day when Colin was playing outside. He loves this cozy coupe car of Cade's. This picture makes me laugh every single time I look at it because of his hair! The static was CRAZY!
One more thing...what's going to happen tomorrow? Will the Groundhog see his shadow?
And by the way, I only follow the Georgia Groundhog!
General Lee (isn't that his name?)
