Whirlwind of a Day!

Larry sent me a text yesterday afternoon letting me know that his grandmother passed away.  It was pretty unexpected.  I had spoken with his mother via email just the day before and she had informed me that his grandmother was going to have gallbladder surgery on Wednesday.  So receiving a call that she passed away before the surgery was not even on our radar.  We had planned to leave the boys with my mom and go for the weekend.  We were planning to leave today at lunch time.  Those plan didn't pan out...  Colin's left ear started draining last night and we had to call the doctor again. They scheduled us for an appointment first thing this morning.  We got there, and they sent us directly over to his ENT who decided it was necessary to "clean" his ears out.  It was not fun because of course Colin threw a huge fit - I am sure it wasn't comfortable for him either.  Anyway, by the time we got home, it just wasn't in the plans for us to leave today.  We are leaving first thing in the morning and we are taking Colin with us.  Cade has decided he wants to stay with Grammy and not make the 8 hour trip.
Please keep our family in your prayers if you can.   We also had a little immediate family drama in our household yesterday so please just pray that everything works out the way that God has planned.

In other BIG news, Cade lost a tooth yesterday.
It was a little wiggly, and I mean just a little wiggly, in the morning.  However by yesterday afternoon, it was super wiggly and bleeding so his teacher pulled it for him.  I had to stand outside the classroom door, because I hate teeth.  It just grosses me out when they are all wiggly.  He was so excited to have this tooth out and couldn't wait to call his Daddy and tell him!  I can't believe how grown up he looks without that tooth.  I cried a few tears over this one yesterday, especially when I was tucking him into bed and he informed that he would always be my baby.  ALWAYS!  Even when he was a grown up adult, he would always be my baby.  Those were his words, not mine!
